Riverside Trenchless Sewer Replacement Services
From Jim & Sons Plumbing

Trenchless sewer pipe lining is an innovative, no-dig solution for repairing damaged sewer pipes. It works by creating an entirely new sewer pipe liner within the existing pipe without the need to dig or use water to soften the ground. This process is highly cost-effective for property owners and could save you significant time and money.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing modern solutions for your plumbing needs, Jim & Sons Plumbing & Rooter has developed extensive experience in trenchless sewer repair techniques. Our Riverside trenchless sewer repair technicians can walk through whether this approach is right for you, and how we’d go about doing it.

Understanding the Two Types of Trenchless Sewer Line Repair

Trenchless sewer repair involves repairing or replacing sewer lines using advanced techniques that minimize the need for digging. The two most common methods are pipe bursting and pipe lining (also known as cured-in-place pipe, or CIPP).

Pipe Bursting :

This method involves breaking the old pipe apart and simultaneously pulling a new pipe into place. A bursting head is used to fracture the existing pipe, and the new pipe follows behind it.

Pipe Lining (CIPP):

In this method, a flexible tube coated with resin is inserted into the damaged pipe. The tube is inflated, pressing the resin against the inner walls of the existing pipe. Once cured, the resin forms a new, seamless pipe within the old one.

Our Proven Trenchless Sewer Repair Process in Riverside County

This eco-friendly method involves three key steps:

Step 1: Camera Inspection for Accurate Diagnosis

Before our technicians begin their work, we conduct a camera inspection of your sewer pipes. This allows us to assess the extent of the damage and determine the best course of action. The inspection is conducted by inserting a camera into the sewer pipes through small access points and typically takes about 30 minutes to complete. This gives us the ability to carefully evaluate the condition of the pipes and diagnose any issues we may discover.

Step 2: Thorough Pipeline Cleaning for Optimal Results

Once the problem areas have been identified, the next step is thorough pipeline cleaning using high-pressure water jets and other specialized tools. This process removes debris, roots, and buildup that can obstruct the flow within the pipes, thus allowing the new pipe lining to adhere to a clean surface.

Step 3: Epoxy Pipe Lining for Long-Lasting Solutions

The final step involves inserting a flexible liner coated with epoxy resin into the cleaned pipe. This liner is carefully positioned and then inflated, pressing it against the interior walls of the existing pipe. The epoxy resin hardens over time, creating a new pipe within the old one. This method aims to restore the structural integrity of the sewer line and provide protection against future leaks, corrosion, and root intrusion.

Some older sewer pipe materials are prone to corrosion and breakage due to their softer composition. Newer and stronger sewer pipe materials, like PVC, are more durable and can last longer. Trenchless pipe lining can fix issues like these because an entirely new sewer pipe liner is created within the existing sewer pipe.
